I am a person who is passionate about math and physics. Although I always knew I loved learning physics and math, I also love the challenge of taking a complex topic and breaking it down into easily understood chunks, and seeing how that topic gets students to think about their life in a new way. I have a physics degree from the University of Maryland and extensive coursework in education through the Terrapin Teachers Program. Outside of academics, I love finding niche hobbies that I can relate to physics and math. Fortunately, most things have an aspect of physics. In my free time, I am a blacksmith, ride BMX and mountain bike, practice Historical European Martial Arts, cosplay at conventions and renaissance festivals, race simulated cars, and do anything else that allows me to build or work with my hands. I am excited to get into the classroom and share the joy of physics with the next generation.
