Born and raised in Northwest Washington, DC, I have dedicated my career to educating students on exercise regimens, nutrition programs, and physical strength through individual and team sports. I graduated from The University of the District of Columbia with a degree in Liberal Studies, specializing in Health and Physical Education.
With 24 years of teaching experience and 29 years of coaching, I have had the privilege of coaching various sports, including volleyball, basketball, track and field, soccer, baseball, football, and tennis. My extensive background in sports and education has equipped me with the skills to inspire and motivate students to achieve their personal best.
During my time at McLean School, I have coached the Girls JV Volleyball team, the Girls Middle School Basketball team (which won the PVAC Championship), and the Boys Middle School Baseball team. Additionally, I run a Volleyball Clinic at McLean aimed at preparing students for competition at the Upper School level.
In my downtime, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and participating in a bowling league in Temple Hills, Maryland. My passion for children and education led me to start Sweetie’s Busy Body’s in May 2021, a summer camp for children aged 3-12. This program aims to incorporate fun, adventure, and education during the summer months, providing all participants with a holistic and enjoyable experience.
I am thoroughly excited to be a part of the McLean School community. I want to continue to bring a boost of energy, a positive attitude, and good leadership. I will continue to work hard to provide a curriculum that meets the academic needs of each student, fostering an environment where they can thrive and succeed.
