Occupational TherapistErin Magnotta

My Story

I went to Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York, and received an Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy, a BA in Health Science with a Concentration in Occupational Therapy, and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Philadelphia University. I started working at McLean in the fall of 2007 as the Lower and Middle school Occupational Therapist. I am certified in Sensory Integration Praxis test and a Level 1 certified handwriting specialist through Learning Without Tears. Some of my other training includes Responsive Classroom, and executive function training through Sara Ward, and I am a Certified ADHD Professional. I am also passionate about the vision world and how it relates to handwriting and fine motor tasks. I incorporate vision exercises into a majority of my OT tasks and activities.

In my downtime, I enjoy gardening, horseback riding, and traveling with my husband, Joey, and my two lovely daughters, Samantha and Madison.  I also have two chocolate labs, Finnley and Sadie.
