I am a local girl, to the core. I graduated from Montgomery Blair High School and graduated from the University of Maryland College Park. I have lived between Takoma Park and Gaithersburg my entire life. I was an active part of the Stage crew at school and enjoy arts and crafts to this day. I love creating things with my hands. More than my love for arts and crafts is my love for my three dogs, Ruka, Titan, and Nila. Other than that, I like to cook, watch TV, and attend festivals. I have always held a job working with children, from gym daycares to teaching two-year-olds, and now in an administrative position. I had my own nannying business for 10 years, where I got to work with two amazing families and watch their children grow from infant to school age. I love the wonder in each child when their imagination is sparked, and their curiosity takes hold. That excitement for learning is what keeps me wanting to work with students. The way McLean fosters this development in children is what keeps me loving what I do and coming to work happy each day.
